    The siege of Brackenfort

The forest needs a line that holds.

Lady Elowen’s scouts have sighted the Thorn Regent. Gather your defenders on the old causeway.

    1. Place one troop or play an order. New weapons use their ability as they arrive.
    2. Your veterans attack every turn. A special command replaces that troop’s regular attack.
    3. Turn the ring to aim support. Hornbearers can pass a call through a formation, up to three troops.

    A living formation

One main action. Place a troop, play an order, command an established ally, or choose Attack only.

Regular volley. Surviving weapons attack at the end of every own turn. Newly placed and specially commanded weapons wait until next turn for regular attacks.

Orders. Sound the Horn retriggers a special. Rally the Line aims at a center and two neighbors. Loose Again grants one extra ordinary shot and preserves the regular shot.

Support. Lit edges continuously grant the shown attack or guard bonus. A Hornbearer or Drummer can also pass a special command along its lit edges. A call activates each troop once, up to three total, in the previewed order.

Command. Recover one charge each own turn, up to three. Ordinary weapon abilities cost one; the Drummer costs two. Troop placement costs only the hand card.

Aim first. Tap a card, then a hex. Drag a card over the board to preview. Drag the aimed tile sideways or use the rotate buttons. Confirm with Place or Use ability.

Targets. Weapons choose the nearest foe in range; ties favor the weaker foe. Ballistas prefer the enemy fort. Shots pass over intervening troops. Guard reduces each hit, to a minimum of one.

The second player starts with two extra fort health on the old causeway, four on the great causeway. At sunset after 44 total plays, the fort with more health wins.

    Choose your battlefield

A new battle replaces the current one. Lady Elowen moves first.
